Bucket List

I finally decided that I need to maintain an ever-changing list of the things I want to cook.  But first, a few ground rules:  if the recipe turns out bad, I'll keep trying until it's good.  No use in sharing bad recipes.  Also, I need to expand my foodie horizons.  Lately I feel as if I've been making lots of desserts and not many "real meals".  My waistline is hating me for this, so I am going to try finding recipes that are both indulgent and (somewhat) healthy.   Can I use those two words in the same sentence?

  • an entire roasted chicken
  • Rugelach

  • campfire food (anything and everything that can be cooked over an open flame)
  • deep-fried Kool Aid
  • tamales
  • paella
  • salad with heirloom tomatos
  • white wine and peach dessert from Orangette
  • homemade bagels
  • energy bars ~ Peanut Butter Power Bars
  • Irish Car Bomb cupcakes
  • fruit preserves
  • some kind of home brew (be it wine, beer... as long as it has alcohol)
  • chocolate truffles
  • candied bacon
